alfi^® wins German Design Award 2026

This prestigious award continues a unique success story: The classic insulated carafe marked its 40th anniversary in 2025, standing as a testament to the longevity of truly great design. This conviction is shared by the international jury of experts from business, education, science, and design, whose attention the iconic Kugel captured during its anniversary year.

With the Kugel, alfi and the Danish designer Ole Palsby have created design culture. For decades, the insulated carafe has been setting standards with its clear, concise design language and uncompromising simplicity. Design and functionality go hand in hand. The insulated carafe with its hygienic tempered glass insert keeps beverages hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours.

In terms of color, the Kugel is constantly reinventing itself: Following the original highly polished stainless steel, the satin finish, frosted look, and shiny charm marked further milestones. In 2026, the insulated carafe that has sold by the million will also be available in the new color wisteria.
